Marathi Shala Session Recap – March 1st, 2025

Today's Marathi Shala session was filled with learning, cultural celebration, and mindfulness activities! With a total of 47 students—31 in Batch 1 and 16 in Batch 2, we had an exciting and productive day.

Mahashivratri Celebration & Meditation Session

To mark the occasion of Mahashivratri, we started the session with a storytelling session led by Amita Teacher, where kids learned about the significance of Lord Shiva and the values he represents.

Additionally, our guest teacher, Pooja B., led a meditation session for all students, reinforcing how Lord Shiva practiced deep meditation and how it helps with focus, mindfulness, and inner peace.

Batch 1 – Group 1 & Group 2 Highlights

🔹 Started with the meditation session, followed by the Mahashivratri storytelling session.

🔹 Then, students split into their respective groups for Marathi language learning.

📌 Batch 1 – Group 1:
✅ Prarthana & “येरे येरे पावसा” song
✅ Swar recognition & singing activity
✅ Vyanjan recognition through a fun song – क ख ग घ च छ ज झ
✅ Ank (Numbers) 1-40 practice
✅ Vocabulary Game: “आत बाहेर आणि मागे पुढे” to make learning interactive and fun!

📌 Batch 1 – Group 2:
✅ Focus Group 1: Continued learning Vyanjan क, ख, ग, घ, ङ, च, छ, ज, झ, ञ, ट, ठ, ड
✅ Writing practice & revision
✅ Focus Group 2: Created and wrote Marathi words
✅ Attendance & session wrap-up

Batch 2 – Group 1 & Group 2 Highlights

🔹 Started with a Meditation session, helping students improve their focus and concentration.
🔹 Followed by a Mahashivratri presentation and storytelling session.

📌 Batch 2 – Group 2:
✅ Manache Shlok, Pasaydan, and Ganesha Aarti
✅ Swar & Vyanjan group singing
✅ Focused on “Ukar” (उ) sound and word-making exercises

📌 Batch 2 – Group 1:
✅ Focused on Vyanjan क, ख, ग, घ, च, छ, ज, झ, ट, ठ with reading and writing
✅ Recap of Marathi weekdays (आठवड्याचे वार)
✅ Colors in Marathi practice
✅ Attendance & conclusion
